Brand New Day

Brand New Year, new days, new moments with new reflections, impressions, meetings, plans, hesitations or surprises. Not by coincidence calendars measure time and they go clockwise. We also move. Sometimes we dream about changes, sometimes they come as surprises to us as and we cannot do much about that fact but still we should pursue our goals and dreams to reach The Cape of Good Hope.

“It seems to me we can never give up longing and wishing while we are still alive. There are certain things we feel to be beautiful and good, and we must hunger for them.”
―
George Eliot

We are starting brand new days and it will be better if we start thinking in a brand new way as the time passes.

Reflection after seeing Mark Osborne Adaptation of The Little Prince

The  Little Prince

The Little Prince forgot that he was a prince and started the life of a grown-up in an adult hectic and commercial world. He got stuck in a mundane routine work as a cleaner and was afraid of losing his position. His boss was a slave driver. The Little Prince lost self-confidence and faith. He had to meet someone with a child’s imagination and heart who could help him to awake his memories and discover once again his own roots. I am writing about Mark OSBORNE last adaptation of the Antoine de Saint-Exupery poetical story about friendship The Little Prince from 1943.
Each of us was once a child and we have probably met - at least once - Little Prince who dreamt to meet a friend. There must be at least one friend in our life – someone like Rose that we should look after. We should take particular care not to allow the friendship to fizzle out. When you leave your friend on a lonely planet, they may feel desolated and dropped. They will hesitate if you still take care of them. If you stop, probably a shadow of doubt will cover the joy of your friendship. That is why it is important to learn to see with your heart. One should start to look with a heart.
During our life journey, we meet a bunch of people from different places - ‘planets’ with different life goals and aims. However, when we meet someone who is close to our heart, we should look after them and send them a short message from time to time, we should tell them how important they are for us otherwise they might disappear in this universe. The created precious bonds require watering and sun. In time of crisis it is a real challenge to restore the withering friendship.

Hope has got its wings

'Hope' is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul—
And sings the tune without the words—
And never stops—at all—

And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard—
And sore must be the storm—
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm—

I've heard it in the chillest land—
And on the strangest Sea—
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb—of Me.

Taste English words to have more sunny days and sunbeams in your daily life

Sunny side up eggs – taste English words
The best way to learn English is to practise it everyday. You may do it in various ways but learning words is essential if you want to communicate.  How do you feel when you find something funny and cheerful, ‘excited’ - I guess.  When I came across the phrase sunny side up eggs (jajka sadzone)-
I thought how beautiful and optimistic it sounds.  These are ordinary eggs you make on a frying pan for 2 or 3 minutes.  To enjoy and taste this phrase you can look online for a recipe for this dish.  You easily find this recipe on YouTube, for example:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MhzKI4q5FE .  This way you can learn how to make perfect sunny side up eggs, listen to the English pronunciation and repeat some other ingredients.
Then you can think what you can do with sunny side up eggs – look for some verbs:
to make, prepare, eat, taste or draw sunny side up eggs. But this is not the end you can also make a story with sunny side up eggs and share it with someone. The title of your story might be Sunny side up egg on a frying pan.  You can tell it later to your friend. To memorise this phrase you can also make an imaginary dialogue with someone and tell him/her how to best prepare sunny side up eggs.

Think what else might be sunny in English language.  Look for more nouns connected with the sun, for example – sun oil, sunflower, sun porch, sun ray lamp, sunray treatment, sunrise, sunrise industry, sun bonnet, sundial, sundae – impressive! To have more sunny days and sunbeams in your daily life you can start to practise sun connected activities, like this bright and sunny learning or learn sun dance, eat more sunny dishes: sunny side up eggs, sundae ( deser lodowy) and be glad that ordinary things can make your day good and so bright.
